Abstract

Starting March 2020, Malaysia will implement the Movement Control Order to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. Until now, the education sector is still being pursued through online education alternatives from primary education to university. This educational initiative shows that the study of knowledge is always emphasized by the government and individuals who are educators and students. The objective of the study focused on analyzing the wisdom of education during the Covid-19 outbreak and listing positive norms based on Islamic perspectives. This study is important to provide awareness and motivation on the educational wisdom of the new norms even though studies are now non-face-to-face and fully internet-oriented. This research method applies inductive methods to obtain the facts of the course of knowledge study using the online medium. Descriptive methods are carried out to analyze and describe the wisdom from the study process. The findings of the study show that the most important wisdom is that Muslims are educated to prioritize education even in harsh situations. This is because neglecting education will have worse negative implications than the threat of existing pandemics. Besides, various methods of study began to be explored so that the goals of knowledge can be conveyed to students. This approach is following the concept of jihad of knowledge and the concept of Muslim wisdom to utilize the western system for the good of the ummah itself. The perspective of wisdom also concludes that Muslims should not make excuses to stop the main process of education but continue to dominate in line with the demands of the comprehensiveness of Islam as a religion of health, education and so on.

Abstrak

 Bermula Mac 2020, Malaysia melaksanakan tindakan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan sebagai langkah mengekang penularan wabak Covid-19. Sehingga kini sektor pendidikan masih tetap diteruskan menerusi alternatif pendidikan atas talian daripada peringkat pengajian rendah hingga ke universiti. Inisiatif pendidikan ini menunjukkan usaha pengajian ilmu sentiasa dititikberatkan kerajaan dan individu yang bergelar pendidik dan pelajar. Objektif kajian memfokuskan untuk menganalisis hikmah pendidikan ketika wabak Covid-19 dan menyenaraikan norma positif berdasarkan perspektif Islam. Kajian ini penting untuk memberi kesedaran dan motivasi mengenai hikmah pendidikan norma baharu meskipun pengajian kini secara tanpa bersemuka dan berorentasikan sepenuhnya jaringan internet. Kajian ini merupakan kajian kualitatif yang menggunakan kajian perpustakaan dengan mengaplikasikan kaedah induktif bagi mendapatkan fakta-fakta perjalanan pengajian ilmu yang menggunakan medium atas talian. Kaedah deskriptif pula dijalankan bagi menganalisis dan menghuraikan hikmah daripada proses pengajian tersebut. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan hikmah terpenting ialah umat Islam terdidik mengutamakan pendidikan biarpun dalam situasi getir. Ini kerana pengabaian pendidikan akan memberi implikasi negatif yang lebih parah berbanding ancaman wabak sedia ada. Di samping itu, pelbagai bentuk pengajian atas talian dengan menggunakan pelbagai aplikasi seperti Ms Teams, Google Meet, Youtube mula diteroka agar matlamat ilmu dapat disampaikan kepada pelajar. Pendekatan ini selari dengan konsep jihad ilmu dan konsep kebijaksanaan muslim untuk memanfaatkan sistem barat demi kebaikan ummah itu sendiri. Perspektif hikmah turut menyimpulkan umat Islam tidak boleh mengambil alasan untuk menghentikan proses utama pendidikan bahkan terus mendominasikan sejajar tuntutan kesyumulan Islam sebagai agama kesihatan, pendidikan dan sebagainya.
